Location: Navi Mumbai (Vashi)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead and strengthen the Finance & Accounts function. The ideal candidate should have strong manufacturing finance experience with expertise in costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and business partnering. This role requires a hands-on finance professional who can drive financial controls, operational efficiency, and management reporting while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Controllership

  • Oversee end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Manufacturing Finance & Costing

  • Drive product costing, cost analysis, and profitability assessment.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, stock controls, and inventory accounting.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support plant and operational teams with financial insights and performance monitoring.

Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Prepare management reports, financial dashboards, and business performance analysis.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

Compliance & Audit

  • Manage statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal, statutory, tax, and cost audits.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance matters.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor cash flow, fund planning, and working capital requirements.
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions.
  • Drive improvements in receivables, payables, and inventory cycles.

ERP & Process Improvement

  • Ensure effective utilization of SAP/ERP systems.
  • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across finance operations.
  • Support ERP enhancements and reporting improvements.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance team.
  • Partner with business heads, operations teams, auditors, and senior management.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 12–18 years of Finance & Accounts experience in Manufacturing organizations.
  • Strong exposure to:
    • Costing & Cost Control
    • Inventory Accounting
    • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Manufacturing MIS
    • Working Capital Management
    • Financial Reporting
    • Statutory Compliance & Audits
  • Hands-on experience in SAP or equivalent ERP environment.
  • Experience managing finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • CA / CMA preferred.
  • MBA Finance may be considered with strong manufacturing finance experience.
  • Experience in Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, Capital Goods, Electrical, Auto Components, or Process Manufacturing sectors.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Currently working as Finance Controller, Plant Controller, Commercial Finance Manager, Senior Manager Finance, AGM Finance, or DGM Finance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and business finance.
  • Ability to work closely with leadership teams and influence business decisions.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-performance finance function.
