Location: Bengaluru, India

Key responsibilities

  • Support the senior team in designing project-specific need assessments, baselines, monitoring plans, and evaluations.
  • Strengthen Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems and processes in alignment with project results frameworks.
  • Develop and refine M&E tools for effective data collection and analysis.
  • Conduct secondary literature reviews, household surveys, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of robust Monitoring & Evaluation systems by leveraging technical and statistical expertise, including data management, analytics tools, and IT applications.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative research methods and use software such as Excel, Power BI, SPSS, or other data visualization tools to enhance the team’s analytical capabilities and reporting efficiency.
  • Train data collectors on M&E tools and ensure data quality through field monitoring.
  • Track project progress by visiting sites and assessing performance against defined indicators.
  • Conduct concurrent monitoring of project activities through regular site visits and data tracking.
  • Create and maintain accurate, project-specific beneficiary databases across organizational verticals.
  • Update and manage data management and MIS platforms with real-time monitoring data.
  • Perform periodic MIS reviews to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and relevance.
  • Consolidate data from various sources to enable comprehensive analysis and decision-making.
  • Generate and share evidence-based results with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare high-quality reports of assessments and monitoring visits.
  • Participate in periodic cadence meetings with the project execution team to ensure alignment and integration of M&E activities.
  • Collaborate closely with project execution teams across verticals to ensure alignment and integration of M&E activities.

 

Knowledge Experience and Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Health Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology, Rural Development, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3+ year of experience in the development/NGO sector with exposure to M&E systems and field assessments.
  • Strong technical and statistical proficiency, including knowledge of data management systems, analytics tools, and IT applications (e.g., Kobo, Google Forms, SurveyMonkey).
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization software such as Excel, Power BI, SPSS, R, Stata, Python, or Tableau.
  • Sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, data analysis, and report writing.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate Degree (preferably in Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of corporate M&E frameworks
  • Mandatory Language - English and Kannada
  • Willingness to travel for project locations
  • Basic understanding of social research methodology (qualitative and quantitative), data analysis and report writing
