We are seeking a talented individual to join our Collections team at Mercer Mettl. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Executive - Collections
We are seeking an candidate who will be leading Government/PSU collections and reconciliation for key accounts, ensuring timely payment realization, full compliance with government billing norms, accurate financial reporting, and efficient cross-functional coordination with Sales, Finance, and Procurement teams
We Will Count On You To
Responsible for leading Government/PSU collections and reconciliation for key accounts, ensuring timely payment realization, full compliance with government billing norms, accurate financial reporting, and efficient cross-functional coordination with Sales, Finance, and Procurement teams
Establish and drive collection frameworks aligned with tender terms, government procurement guidelines, and contract SLAs.
Manage escalations with senior government officials, finance wings, and procurement departments to ensure timely payment release.
Ledger-to-ledger reconciliation
Collection-invoice matching
Advances, retentions, deductions
TDS/GST adjustments
Review ageing buckets for high-value government accounts and prepare analytical reports, risk flags, and actionable recommendations for management.
Build robust relationships with key government stakeholders through regular follow-ups, review meetings, and compliance updates.
Develop standardized procedures for government account reconciliation, advance tracking, credit note issuance, and dispute resolution.

What You Need To Have
- 5+ years of collections, reconscilations & financial reporting.
- Experience within Government/PSU collections
- Excellent communication and presentation experience.
- Experience of working across teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interfacing with business users
- Good client management skills
- Able to work independently
