Job Title: Senior Estates Surveyor (Contract)

Location: Wigan (Hybrid/On-site)

Rate: £350/day (Up to £400/day for exceptional candidates)

Contract Length: 6-month rolling contract

⏰ Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Our client in Wigan is seeking a Senior Estates Surveyor to join their team on a 6-month rolling contract. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead on high-value property disposals, acquisitions, valuations, and asset management—helping shape the borough's future.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the disposal and acquisition of land and property assets.
Manage the Council’s let estate and support strategic asset planning.
Deliver accurate asset valuations for financial reporting and planning.
Identify development and rationalisation opportunities across the portfolio.
Liaise with tenants, stakeholders, internal departments, and consultants to deliver effective estates solutions.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified (or equivalent – happy to consider candidate who aren’t MRICS), with solid public or private sector experience.
Strong knowledge of property law, valuation, disposals, and estate management.
Confident communicator and report writer, with experience advising senior stakeholders.
Able to manage complex portfolios and drive service improvements.
