Position Overview Senior Piping Material Engineer assist to lead and controls Piping material mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities. Senior Piping Material Engineer assist Head of Discipline/ Senior person for managing a corporate organization and mentors junior Engineers. Senior Piping Material Engineer develops corporate technical standards/procedures, workflow, engineering platform (e.g. design data integration) and keep them updated, integral, practical and fit to purpose with incorporating Project Lesson Learnt. Senior Piping Material Engineer conducts technical validation and quality assurance (input/output data accuracy, technical appropriateness, consistency, practicality, code, optimum solution and regulatory compliance) in executing Feasibility /Conceptual Study/Pre-FEED/FEED, EPCI Engineering for FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities projects. Senior Piping Engineer shall be able to analyze to identify optimal solution and communicate these solutions through technical reports. This role may require frequent travel to the US, Europe, and Asia. The ideal candidate of the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry. The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/India and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead for Topside Piping Material in Project Team. Update and Maintain EPCI and O & M Phase Lesson Learnt database Prepare and develop all engineering documents are prepared and developed in accordance with relevant design code, standard, client?s project specification and quality management system. Ensure Compliance with regulatory requirements Provide engineering expertise and support to form the optimum and competitive efficient, safe and environmentally compliant for Piping and utility system. Attend project meetings internally and externally (with clients, third party, sub-contractor) and generate MOM Manage interface with all relevant disciplines to get necessary information for material engineering or to provide data to other disciplines for their engineering Perform Pipe wall thickness calculation in accordance with ASME B31.3 / B 31.4 and B 31.8 codes and standards and regulations. Prepare piping material specifications, Valve material specifications, Specialty item Datasheets, Piping Bulk MTO and Manual valve MTO. Prepare RFQs, TBEs for Piping Bulk MTO and Manual valves, and SP Items. Review of vendor proposals, prepare technical bid clarifications, attend clarification meetings. Review and approve vendor data and deliverables. Review Vendor Documents, Engineering Deliverables to ensure full compliance with contract requirements and meet with company/client specifications Assist in resolving technical issues during the fabrication, installation & commissioning phases. Report Area of Concerns, Progress and Plan to Head of Discipline/ Lead Review the work of less experienced team members to ensure quality and accuracy. Maintain accurate records of design changes, decisions, and project milestones. Conduct feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, FEED Verification (Inception of EPCI Phase) and EPCI phase Engineering Provide engineering review and support for bid proposal. Raise Technical Queries towards the client?s project documents, Design basis to ensure all scopes of work and design basis are clarified Qualifications Minimum Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 10 years working experience with 5 years? experience in Oil & Gas industries (FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor) Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong attention to detail and accuracy Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills Diversity And Inclusion Hanwha believes that diversity and inclusion are vital to our success.
