Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewable Power Systems

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform and lead complex system studies, including but not limited to protective device coordination, short circuit, arc flash, load flow, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality analyses.
• Lead the design of collection systems, including cable routing and sizing.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation describing analyses performed and solutions developed.
• Independently develop and submit interconnection application packages and set up load flow and dynamic models.
• Review project documentation for quality assurance and conformance to engineering standards.
• Apply extensive technical knowledge to evaluate, select, and adapt procedures and criteria for complex engineering problems.
• Develop new techniques and improved processes to enhance project delivery and design accuracy.
• Review and finalize scopes, budgets, and schedules for major assignments.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the preparation of documentation and deliverables for multiple large-scale projects.
• Serve as the lead technical specialist and provide direction on advanced engineering tasks and methodologies.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and design documents for grid interconnection and collection systems.
• Create equipment specifications for renewable energy systems, including solar PV modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, cable management systems, and balance-of-system (BOS) components.
• Prepare and support proposals for professional engineering services.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, coordinating deliverables across project portfolios.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with management as a technical advisor on advanced design issues.
• Ensure project deliverables and deadlines are consistently met.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering with five years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience.
• Professional registration or eligibility for professional recognition in engineering is preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency (equivalent to IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+) with the ability to author technical documentation and collaborate with global teams.
• Proficiency in Python, ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, and PSLF.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a solar PV or energy storage electrical engineer.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with vendor-provided dynamic models.
• Minimum 2 years of experience applying Python or similar languages for engineering process automation.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,450,000.00 per year
