Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Developer with a strong background in enterprise application development and a proven track record of migrating complex, mission-critical systems from legacy .NET frameworks to modern architectures.

The ideal candidate will have worked extensively within large ERP ecosystems and integrated suite environments and will bring both technical depth and the confidence to lead migration projects end-to-end from initial assessment through to deployment and post-go-live stabilization with minimal risk to live operations.

Key Responsibilities

Migration & Modernisation

• Lead end-to-end migration of applications from .NET Framework (2.x4.x) to .NET 6 / 7 / 8, ensuring zero-downtime transitions for live production systems

• Assess legacy codebases for migration feasibility, technical debt, and risk exposure

• Refactor monolithic applications into modular, maintainable architectures (microservices, layered, or domain-driven design)

• Upgrade data access layers from ADO.NET / Entity Framework 4–6 to EF Core

• Migrate WCF services to gRPC or RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core

• Use Microsoft Upgrade Assistant and compatibility tooling to plan and execute structured migrations

Enterprise & ERP Systems

• Design and develop integrations with ERP platforms (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or equivalent enterprise suites)

• Build and maintain backend services underpinning business-critical operations — finance, supply chain, procurement, and HR modules

• Collaborate with ERP functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

• Manage complex data migrations between ERP versions and third-party systems Mission-Critical System Development

• Develop and maintain high-availability, fault-tolerant applications operating under stringent SLA requirements

• Implement robust error handling, transaction management, and rollback strategies in distributed system environments

• Conduct performance profiling and optimization of high-load .NET applications

• Apply security best practices including OAuth2, identity management, and vulnerability mitigation Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Contribute to architectural decisions for new builds and migration strategies

• Produce technical design documents, migration runbooks, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers; conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards

• Champion DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on .NET development experience in enterprise environments

• 5+ years working on mission-critical or production-grade systems with high availability requirements

• Advanced expertise in:

• C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, MVC

• Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and data access patterns

• .NET versioning, runtime differences, and migration tooling (Upgrade Assistant)

• Proven experience migrating from .NET Framework 2.x / 3.5 / 4.x to .NET Core / .NET 5+

• Experience working within or integrating with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, Infor, or similar)

• Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, performance tuning)

• Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vault)

• Integration experience with Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging platforms

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in enterprise delivery settings

Preferred / Good to Have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or equivalent

• Hands-on experience with Azure (Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse, AKS)

• Familiarity with SignalR, Blazor, or .NET Worker Services

• Knowledge of TOGAF, ArchiMate, or enterprise architecture frameworks

• Exposure to AI/ML integration with .NET backends (ML.NET, Azure AI services)

• Experience in energy, petrochemical, or healthcare technology environments

• Infrastructure-as-Code awareness (Terraform, Bicep)

• Familiarity with ODATA, EDI, or industry-specific data exchange standards
