Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 5 years Location: NCR JobType: full-time The Senior DevOps Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor, responsible for architecting, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure that powers mission-critical applications. This role requires strong ownership, deep expertise in DevOps practices, and the ability to enhance reliability, scalability, and efficiency across the software delivery lifecycle. Requirements Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent). Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for rapid and reliable deployments. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, etc. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex production issues; participate in on-call rotations. Partner with engineering, security, and product teams to improve observability, performance, and operational maturity. Drive cost optimization, performance tuning, and infrastructure security best practices. Contribute to disaster recovery strategies, backup solutions, and business continuity planning. Research and introduce new DevOps tools, automation techniques, or architectural improvements. Provide technical guidance through code reviews, documentation, and occasional mentoring. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or platform/infrastructure engineering. Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, and containerized environments. Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure automation (Python, Go, Shell, Terraform, etc.). Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.). Deep understanding of Linux/Unix internals, networking concepts, and security in cloud-native systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and lead system improvements. Nice to Have Experience working in regulated industries (fintech, healthcare, etc.). Contributions to open-source projects or technical content (GitHub, blogs, etc.).
