About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure that supports modern cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, cloud platforms, observability, and emerging AI-powered DevOps practices.

This role will collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, SRE, and Product teams to build reliable deployment platforms, improve operational efficiency, enhance system reliability, and drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Architect highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud environments.
  • Configure and manage networking components including VPCs/VNets, Subnets, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, Route Tables, Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
  • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, and cost.

Kubernetes & Container Platform Management

  • Deploy, manage, and upgrade production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
  • Design and maintain Kubernetes resources including Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Services, Ingresses, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.
  • Implement autoscaling strategies using HPA, VPA, and Cluster Autoscaler.
  • Troubleshoot cluster, networking, storage, and application-level issues.
  • Manage Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment standards.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Create reusable modules and manage infrastructure deployments across environments.
  • Automate provisioning and operational workflows using Python, or Bash.

CI/CD & Release Engineering

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
  • Automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
  • Implement deployment strategies such as rolling, blue-green, and canary releases.

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

  • Implement monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
  • Configure centralized logging using ELK/OpenSearch, Loki, or equivalent platforms.
  • Implement distributed tracing using OpenTelemetry.
  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Perform proactive performance analysis and capacity planning.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Configure IAM, RBAC, network policies, and security controls.
  • Automate container image vulnerability scanning and remediation.
  • Manage SSL/TLS certificates and automated renewals.
  • Integrate secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or cloud-native secret stores.
  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational security and compliance requirements.

AI-Driven DevOps & Platform Innovation

  • Develop AI-assisted automation for infrastructure management and operations.
  • Leverage LLMs to generate Terraform modules, Kubernetes manifests, deployment pipelines, and operational runbooks.
  • Build AI-powered operational assistants and incident-response chatbots.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD workflows for code review, documentation generation, testing, and release validation.
  • Utilize AI and machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, predictive scaling, and capacity forecasting.
  • Implement AI-assisted root cause analysis using logs, metrics, traces, and operational data.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools that improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Develop AI-driven cloud cost optimization and resource recommendation systems.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes environments at scale.
  • Experience implementing GitOps practices using Argo CD.
  • Experience with multi-cloud architectures and cloud governance.
  • Hands-on experience with observability and distributed systems troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to AI/ML frameworks and cloud AI services is a plus.

Knowledge, Ability & Skills

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for building and managing scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack/OpenSearch, and Loki.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
  • Experience with version control systems, including Git and GitHub, following modern development best practices.
  • Good understanding of DevSecOps practices, including container security, vulnerability management, and code quality tools such as Trivy, OSV, and SonarQube.
  • Exposure to AI-powered DevOps and emerging technologies, including Prompt Engineering, LLM APIs, AI-assisted development tools, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases and Embeddings, AI-based Incident Analysis, and AI-driven Infrastructure Automation.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive automation, optimize infrastructure, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
