Job Title Name

Senior - DevOps Engineer

Job Purpose

The Dev Ops Engineer will play a crucial role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between software development and IT operations. The primary objective of this individual will be to streamline the software delivery process, enhance system reliability, and optimize automation for efficient deployment and scaling.

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions leveraging cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) to support application development, deployment, and operations.
  • Develop and maintain automated CI / CD pipelines to ensure swift and reliable software releases, from code commits to production deployment, employing tools with stakeholders (e.g., business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and end users)
  • Utilize configuration management tools to automate and standardize the configuration of servers, applications, and environments
  • Establish monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring system reliability and stability
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, conduct regular audits, ensure compliance with industry standards, and work on tools like Terraform
  • Collaborate closely with development, operations, and QA teams to foster a culture of DevOps, promoting collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the development, test, and production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and best practices for infrastructure setup, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps
  • Stay updated with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, evaluating their applicability and potential benefits for the organization

Qualification

B.Tech or Bachelor’s degree in i nformation t echnology, c omputer s cience, or related fields

Years Of Experience

5-8 years of experience in D ev O ps, deployment, and operations

Skills And Capabilities

People Management

  • Work closely with management, architects, and other teams to develop and implement the projects
  • Actively participate in technical group discussions and adopt any innovative technologies to improve the development and operations

Technical Skills

  • Strong Azure DevOPs experience
  • Experience with various deployment strategies.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and open–source practices
  • Experience with GitHub, including GitHub actions
  • Experience with automation of CI / CD pipelines
  • Experience with infrastructure pipelines using Terraform
  • Experience in cloud native, deploying within cloud environments, serverless development and / or container–based solutions
  • Strong understanding of object–oriented programing, familiarity with functional programing is a plus
  • Strong understanding of best practices in the design of REST–based APIs
  • Strong ability to understand context for code, the codebase, and its relation to business objectives
