Senior DevOps Engineer ? GitLab CI/CD & Jenkins Automation

Role Description Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins to lead a migration initiative from Jenkins to GitLab. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Jenkins (Groovy scripting) and GitLab YAML pipelines , with the ability to translate complex Jenkins workflows into GitLab CI/CD processes. This role focuses on automation, CI/CD optimization , and ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to GitLab. Key Responsibilities Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing development activities. Analyze and convert Jenkins Groovy scripts into GitLab YAML pipelines, leveraging Python for automation where needed. Configure, optimize, and maintain GitLab runners, repository structures, and CI/CD configurations. Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless adoption of GitLab pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD issues, including build failures, inefficiencies, and integration challenges. Implement GitLab security and compliance best practices (code scanning, access management, compliance policies). Monitor and improve pipeline performance, build speed, and deployment efficiency. Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Required Skills & Qualifications 5?6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation engineering. Strong expertise in Jenkins (including Groovy scripting) and GitLab CI/CD. Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Exposure to AWS or Azure environments. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
