Your Experience at a Glance As Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Platform), you will go beyond pipelines and automation. Your focus will be on designing and operating resilient, compliant, and scalable Azure-native systems. You will stitch together Azure services to maximize uptime, design disaster recovery strategies, and embed operational excellence for mission-critical healthcare/fintech workloads. Work Model Training & Ramp-Up: You will initially align with Eastern Time (ET) hours to collaborate closely with the North America team during your onboarding and training phase. Steady-State Schedule: After ramp-up, you will primarily work in India Standard Time (IST) with a small overlap into ET for critical team meetings, working sessions, and joint reviews. Follow-the-Sun Operations: You will be part of a North America + India distributed team model, ensuring 24x7 coverage and resilience through a follow-the-sun approach. Key Responsibilities Platform Resiliency & Architecture Design resilient Azure infrastructure using Availability Zones, Traffic Manager, Front Door, and Geo-redundant storage. Build disaster recovery and failover strategies leveraging Azure Site Recovery, SQL Failover Groups, and Cosmos DB multi-region setups. Operations & Reliability Lead initiatives on system resiliency, high availability (99.9%+), and regulatory compliance (HIPAA/PCI/SOC2). Implement observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights. Create automated incident response and remediation playbooks. DevOps Enablement Automate provisioning using Bicep or Terraform with a focus on multi-region deployments. Implement secure and reliable CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and Git workflows. Partner with engineering and product teams to design deployment guardrails. Compliance & Security Enforce security policies with Azure AD, Key Vault, Private Link, and NSGs. Embed DevSecOps practices into pipelines and operations. Support regulated environment audits with operational evidence. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, SRE, and operations teams to align resiliency KPIs. Participate in Agile ceremonies and release planning. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. 5+ years in production cloud engineering or SRE or DevOps, with deep expertise in Azure platform services. Strong knowledge of: Azure AD, networking, DNS, VPN, load balancing. AKS, App Gateway, Traffic Manager, Front Door, Event Hubs, ServiceBus. SQL DB, Cosmos DB (multi-region replication & failover). IaC proficiency: Bicep, Terraform. Containerization: Docker/Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Java). Experience with Azure DevOps, Git workflows, and pipeline automation. Nice to Have Prior experience in healthtech or fintech-regulated domains. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC2, GDPR). Hands-on chaos engineering or resilience testing.
