Job Description

Experience:

5-7 years (1+ years in Generative / Agentic AI)

Location:

Gurgaon

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Lead Data Scientist to lead Newgen’s Agentic and Generative AI initiatives. This role focuses on architecting next-generation AI systems, translating ambiguous business and RFP requirements into scalable technical solutions, and leading high-performing data science teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect Agentic AI systems (multi-agent workflows, reasoning, memory, tool usage)

• Build hybrid solutions combining Generative AI and classical ML

• Stay current with state-of-the-art AI/ML models and apply them pragmatically

• Lead AI solutioning for RFPs, pre-sales, and client workshops

• Drive AI innovation and roadmap contributions within Newgen’s product suite

• Mentor and lead a team of data scientists

Skills & Experience:

• Strong exposure to LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, orchestration patterns

• Solid foundation in machine learning and data science fundamentals

• Experience designing end-to-end AI architectures

• Consulting or solutioning background preferred

• Strong communication, ideation, and leadership skills
