Generative AI Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer to support the design and development of Generative AI solutions for industrial use cases. This role focuses on Python‑based development, implementation of LLM and RAG pipelines, and building AI assistants that support plant operations, maintenance, and quality teams under guidance from senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Python‑based GenAI applications for industrial workflows
• Implement and support LLM‑based solutions for:
• Automated reporting
• Maintenance procedure generation
• Document‑based Q&A systems
• Build and maintain RAG pipelines to extract insights from:
• Manuals, SOPs, engineering documents, and logs
• Assist in developing AI copilots and chat interfaces for operators and support teams
• Generate and validate synthetic data (text, sensor, or image) to improve model performance
• Integrate AI solutions with existing data sources under guidance
• Follow Responsible AI, security, and safety guidelines suitable for industrial environments
• Collaborate with senior engineers, data scientists, and domain SMEs

Technical Skills & Experience

Must‑Have

• Strong Python programming skills Scripting, data processing, APIs, and automation
• Working knowledge of Generative AI / LLMs, Prompt engineering, basic fine‑tuning, inference
• Hands‑on experience with RAG concepts, Embeddings, vector databases, document chunking
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs, Fast API or Flask preferred

Good to Have

• Exposure to agent frameworks, Lang Chain, Llama Index, or similar
• Basic understanding of ML / deep learning, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face
• Awareness of industrial or manufacturing environments Maintenance, quality, operations, or asset data
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or containers

Key Focus Areas

• Implementing GenAI components rather than defining architecture
• Supporting document intelligence and knowledge extraction use cases
• Developing Python services for AI workflows
• Learning and applying safe and responsible AI practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in:
• Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in: Python development, AI/ML engineering, or data engineering
