Help us design, implement and scale our data within the Entertainment Platform with Batch and Event-driven data pipelines. You will be analytical and data driven in your role, working as part of a cross functional Specialist Departments, Datawarehouse, Data Frontend & Site Reliability Engineering teams. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have following key accountabilities: Scaling our existing data processes, focusing on quality every step of the way Provide guidance on technology, library and tooling choices to the team Avoid scope-creep, over-engineering, under-testing and technical debt Learning our business domains Using good software engineering principles and best practices to solve business problems Intra-team and Cross-team collaboration with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers Mentoring of Data Engineers Manage mid-sized projects Qualifications 7 years+ in Database or Datawarehouse Development and/or Data Engineering 7 years+ in PL/SQL and Oracle databases Cross-team collaboration in large organisations and Agile Methodology experience Willingness to use the appropriate tool for the job, not just the latest "hot" technology Skills Essential Oracle SQL & PL/SQL Java Data Modelling Data Warehousing best practices (ETL pipeline design, Kimball Star schemas, Data Vault 2.0) Strong communication skills Project management skills Highly Useful Linux/Bash Python Query Tuning/Optimisation Git, Jira, Confluence Nice to have Requirements Engineering Project Management Skills Messaging Services (RabbitMQ, Kafka) Exasolution Additional Information Enjoy a flexible and rewarding work environment with peer-to-peer recognition platforms Recharge and revitalize with help of wellness plans made for you and your family Plan your future with financial wellness tools Stay relevant and upskill yourself with career development opportunities.
