Location Name: Pune Corporate Office - Mantri Job Purpose The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and efficient data pipelines and architectures for the Enterprise Data Platform. This role will focus on enabling high-quality, reliable, and timely data access for analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. Working closely with business analysts, data scientists, and architects, the Senior Data Engineer will ensure data solutions meet business needs and adhere to best practices and governance standards. Duties And Responsibilities ?Develop and execute the data lake strategy, including architecture, integration, and data lifecycle management. ?Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data lake solutions to support business analytics and reporting needs. ?Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with data requirements and objectives. ?Manage data governance policies and procedures, including data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations. ?Monitor and optimize data lake performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. ?Establish and maintain documentation for data lake processes, data definitions, and metadata management. ?Provide leadership and mentorship to data engineering and management team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. ?Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Key Decisions / Dimensions Determining the appropriate data architecture design and technology stack for each project. Prioritizing project tasks and resources to ensure successful delivery within constraints. Addressing and resolving any issues or risks that arise during the delivery of data architecture projects. Major Challenges Managing the complexity of designing and implementing scalable data solution in a rapidly changing technological environment. Balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders while ensuring that data solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Ensuring data solutions are future-proof and can adapt to evolving business and technology landscapes. Required Qualifications And Experience ?Qualifications Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, or project management are a plus. ?Work Experience Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3-5 years in a delivery management role. Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale data architecture solutions.
