Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Associate L2 in Data Engineering, you will translate client requirements into scalable technical solutions and implement robust data pipelines. This role emphasizes strong expertise in Python, Apache Spark, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design and deliver modern data engineering solutions.

Your Impact

• Design and build scalable data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines using Python and Spark
• Develop and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines on GCP
• Implement efficient data models and transformations using SQL
• Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance optimization across pipelines
• Build solutions for data analytics, aggregation, and reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
• Participate in design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions

Your Skills & Experience

• 6–9 years of overall experience with at least 4+ years in data engineering
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Python for data processing and pipeline development
• Apache Spark (PySpark preferred)
• Advanced SQL for data transformation and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow / Dataproc and, Pub/Sub
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Solid understanding of distributed data processing and performance tuning
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)

Good to Have

• Exposure to real-time/streaming pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
