Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / Senior Data Developer with strong expertise in Scala and Apache Spark to join our growing data engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data platforms, developing APIs, and handling large-scale data processing for business intelligence applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data platforms, integration frameworks, and scalable data pipelines.
• Build and deliver APIs in Scala for Business Intelligence applications using modern web technologies.
• Work in a collaborative Agile environment (SCRUM / Kanban) to design and deliver development stories.
• Process and manage large-scale data volumes efficiently.
• Design and implement REST-based services and microservices.
• Work with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Contribute to improving system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala and Apache Spark.
• Experience building large-scale data engineering solutions and data pipelines.
• Experience working with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure).

Development Practices

• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Good understanding of:

• Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
