This role will suit a hands-on AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to join a large enterprise technology team working on secure, scalable and automated cloud platform services with expert level AWS infrastructure, Python automation, Terraform, cloud networking and security experience.

You will be an important part of the engineering teams use AWS effectively by building reliable platform services, improving automation, and supporting secure cloud adoption across a complex enterprise environment responsible for building, supporting and improving core AWS platform services used by application and engineering teams.

You should be comfortable working across both infrastructure and development, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, automate repeatable processes and support teams adopting AWS services.

Extensive experience with the Boto3 SDK for Python, enabling you to programmatically manage AWS infrastructure. Your expertise should include automating complex tasks such as resource provisioning, configuration management for S3 and EC2, and executing advanced queries within DynamoDB environments to ensure operational efficiency and consistency.

THE ROLE:

• Building and maintaining secure, automated AWS platform services.
• Writing automation using Python, including AWS SDK / Boto-style tooling.
• Creating and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
• Supporting AWS networking, access control, security and governance requirements.
• Helping application teams with AWS design, troubleshooting and best practice.
• Improving platform reliability, scalability, cost efficiency and operational resilience.
• Working closely with engineers, architects and delivery teams to solve complex cloud problems.
• Contributing to a collaborative engineering culture with peer review, shared ownership and continuous improvement.
