Senior CAD Technician - Piping

Job Description

Job Description We are seeking to recruit a Piping Designer to join our GCC engineering department and specifically our industry discipline helping to contribute towards its continuing success. Responsibilities Assist engineers in their design tasks of plans and specifications using CAD, 3D and 2D development tools, for heavy industrial, petrochemical and manufacturing projects mainly with Piping experience. District Heating or Cooling experience with Piping is preferred. Preparation of various drawing types. Isometric preparation (Isogen) and clean-up. Prepare list of equipment, piping and pipes, with the help of specialized software and Excel. Estimate and calculate volumes of material required for projects. Perform various simulations using specialized software (e. g. 2D or 3D modelling). If required, assist team technicians in projects. Attend follow-up meetings with the design team. Perform any other related tasks that can help with project implementation Qualifications Mechanical engineering degree or Civil Engineering or another equivalent qualification. 8 to 14 years of experience in CAD design and conception in the field of engineering, preferably industrial. Proficient in Civil 3D is a must, AutoCAD 3D, Plant3D and 2D software are preferred. Excellent knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D (c/w Isogen) and intelligent P&ID software, and knowledge of REVIT is preferred. Should be a team player.
