FlipToSolar Private Limited (FTS) is an IIT Delhi Pedigree founded engineering-driven solar EPC company headquartered in Noida, UP, specialising in C&I rooftop solar and Open Access projects across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and the NCR. We deliver engineering-grade solar installations that generate business-grade returns. We are at an early and exciting stage — building the team and client base that will take FTS to ₹1,000 Crore revenue over the next decade. Every person who joins now is a foundational team member with direct CEO visibility and real ownership.



ROLE OVERVIEW

The Business Development Manager is FTS's most critical first hire. This person independently builds and converts the company's sales pipeline — walking into client offices, presenting financial models, and closing work orders without the founder needing to be present in every meeting. Every rupee of revenue that enters FTS starts with this person. They are the engine that drives the company to its first 15-20 Crore in annual revenue.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Pipeline Generation

  • Generate minimum 8–10 qualified prospect meetings per month through cold outreach, referrals, channel partners, and industry events
  • Identify and target C&I clients with contracted demand ≥ 100 kW and annual electricity bills ≥ 30 L across ₹ UP, NCR, and Bihar.
  • Build and manage 2–3 channel partners (energy auditors, electrical consultants, CA firms) who generate warm referral leads.
  • Attend CII / PHDCCI / ASSOCHAM chapter events to network with plant heads, facility managers, and CFOs.


Client Engagement & Proposal

  • Conduct client site visits — capture roof area, load data, electricity bills, DISCOM details, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Design Engineer to produce tailored proposals and ROI financial models within 48–72 hours of site visit.
  • Present and walk clients through payback calculations, 25-year savings projections, and EPC scope.
  • Handle all client objections on pricing, technology, and regulatory compliance with confidence and accuracy.


Deal Closure

  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment schedules (30/40/20/10), and EPC scope to closure.
  • Drive prospects from first meeting to signed LOI / Work Order — target 2–3 signed orders per quarter.
  • Maintain accurate deal status in shared pipeline tracker — updated weekly without exception.


Post-Order Coordination

  • Brief the Project Engineer immediately after signing — client expectations, site constraints, special requirements.
  • Remain primary client relationship owner through execution, handover, and AMC onboarding
  • Actively seek referrals and testimonials from satisfied clients for use in future proposals



MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4–7 years of B2B sales in solar EPC, capital goods, industrial equipment, or energy solutions.
  • Proven track record of independently closing C&I deals above 50 Lakh ticket size — must be able to name references.
  • Existing network of facility managers, purchase heads, or CFOs in NCR / UP geographies.
  • Comfortable reading and presenting a financial model / ROI proposal to a non-technical decision-maker.
  • Strong Hindi and English communication — written and verbal.
  • Hunter DNA — generates own leads, does not wait for inbound or brand recognition.



GOOD TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in rooftop or ground-mount solar EPC sales.
  • Familiarity with PVVNL / UPPCL net metering process and open access regulations in UP.
