Job Description

Job Title : Sr. Big Fix System Admin. Location : Mumbai (Prabhadevi). Position Type : 6 working Days Full Time (General Shift). Experience Range : 5 to 8 Years. Key Responsibilities Server Patch Management : Plan, test, and execute patch deployment for Windows servers using HCL BigFix Patch Management. Verify and ensure installation of mandatory and prerequisite software (BigFix, CrowdStrike, and others as per provided list). Coordinate patching windows, handle reboots, and perform validation after patch application. Monitor and maintain patch compliance across all server systems. Troubleshoot patching failures and provide quick resolutions. Follow and maintain the Patch Management Process (PMP) documentation and ensure compliance. Perform out-of-schedule patching for urgent vulnerabilities or security fixes as required. End-User Patch Management Manage and deploy OS and application updates for end-user systems (laptops/desktops) using BigFix. Ensure endpoint compliance, addressing missing patches or agent issues. Validate that security applications (e.g., CrowdStrike, antivirus, etc.) are installed, running, and up to date. BigFix Administration & Application Deployment Create, configure, and manage BigFix patching and application deployment policies. Manage BigFix infrastructure for both servers and endpoints. Handle OS and application deployment through BigFix, ensuring consistency and compliance. Maintain and optimise BigFix baselines, fixlets, and deployment jobs. Generate and maintain patch compliance and deployment reports. Infrastructure Support (Outside Patch Cycles) Assist the IT Infrastructure Support Team with : Server deployment and setup (Windows and Linux). Vulnerability management and coordination with the security team for remediation. System monitoring and basic troubleshooting as an L1 support engineer. Participate in general IT operations and ensure the stability of the infrastructure. Provide support for ongoing IT projects and deployments as required. Coordination And Reporting Maintain regular patch compliance and activity reports. Coordinate with IT, Security, and Change Management teams for planned patching activities. Ensure minimal disruption during patching and server deployment through effective planning and communication. (ref:hirist.tech)
