Must have skills required: Datadog, New Relic, SQS, CI/CD, GraphQL, MongoDB, Node Js, Redis A Series A funded California based Software Development Company is Looking for: About The Role We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep hands-on experience in MongoDB and its aggregation framework , capable of designing and optimizing large-scale data models and pipelines. The ideal candidate will also bring strong proficiency in Node.js and GraphQL , contributing to scalable backend systems powering our SaaS platform. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize complex MongoDB schemas and aggregation pipelines for analytical and transactional use cases. Build and maintain Node.js services with GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across distributed environments (AWS Beanstalk, EC2, S3). Collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to define API contracts and optimize end-to-end delivery. Debug and profile backend performance bottlenecks (queries, indexes, memory usage, API response times). Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and internal tools improving developer velocity. Required Skills MongoDB (Expert Level): Aggregation framework, performance tuning, sharding, indexing strategies, schema design. Node.js (Advanced): Asynchronous design, modular architecture, worker queues, API scalability. GraphQL (Proficient): Schema design, resolvers, query optimization, and federation patterns. Strong debugging skills in production environments with logs and profiling tools. Solid understanding of cloud environments (preferably AWS). Good to Have Experience with data-driven SaaS products. Familiarity with TypeScript, Redis, and message queues (Redis, SQS). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic).
