We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong backend engineering expertise to design and build scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Python, API development, database optimization, cloud-native technologies, and distributed systems. You will play a key role in building robust backend services that power next-generation AI-driven products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
Build high-performance RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
Design efficient, scalable database schemas and optimize database performance.
Develop thread-safe, concurrent, and high-throughput backend applications.
Build clean, reusable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes.
Develop and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.
Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

8-12 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development.
Strong expertise in Python 3.x.
Extensive experience with FastAPI and/or Flask.
Strong hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy ORM, session management, and database transactions.
Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous programming, and thread-safe application development.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL, including database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
Experience with Git, code reviews, unit testing, and software engineering best practices.
Good understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and scalable application design.

Preferred Skills

Experience building AI/ML-enabled applications.
Exposure to Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and application performance optimization.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
