Responsibilities Architect Scalable Systems: Design, build, and maintain the robust backend for the NPrep app and website using NodeJS and NestJS. You will be the architect ensuring our platform can handle thousands of concurrent users with rock-solid reliability and speed. Own the Backend and Drive Performance: Take full ownership of our backend services, from development and testing to deployment and monitoring. You'll be the guardian of our tech stack's health, constantly optimizing for performance, security, and scalability as we expand nationally. Lead and Mentor the Tech Team: Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence. You'll lead by example through high-quality code, conduct insightful code reviews, and establish best practices that elevate the entire team. Innovate and Implement New Features: Collaborate directly with the founders and product team to bring new, game-changing features to life. You'll tackle exciting challenges like implementing real-time quizzing, building complex analytics dashboards, and integrating new payment gateways. Strategic Collaboration: Work directly with the founders to translate the product vision into a technical roadmap. You'll be a key voice in technical decisions, contributing to architecture discussions, and ensuring our technology choices fuel our ambitious growth. Ensure System Reliability and Uptime: Dive into our infrastructure to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. You'll manage our databases, APIs, and cloud services, implementing monitoring and alerting to ensure our platform is always available for the students who depend on us. Requirements Deep expertise in Nodejs and NestJS. Your knowledge of TypeScript is top-notch. Strong Architectural Skills: You don't just write code; you design systems. You have experience with microservices architecture, designing RESTful APIs, and working with both SQL (e. g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e. g., MongoDB, Redis) databases. Problem-Solver and Analytical Mindset: You love digging into complex problems. You are comfortable with logging, monitoring (e. g., Datadog, New Relic), and performance-tuning to find and fix bottlenecks. Startup Attitude: Resourceful, proactive, and ready to hustle.
