Alerts and Notification Platform team powering the core of the SolarWinds Observability ecosystem. This platform serves as the backbone for multiple feature teams, enabling them to define, evaluate, and deliver alerts seamlessly to end users. You?ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable alert evaluation pipelines , build flexible notification workflows , and ensure reliable, low-latency communication across channels . Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer in a product-focused development environment . Strong system design skills with emphasis on extensibility, scalability, and abstraction . Proven platform mindset ? ability to build reusable components and frameworks serving multiple teams. Advanced problem-solving and debugging capabilities across distributed systems. Solid understanding of on-call operations and incident management best practices . Strong collaboration skills with a sense of ownership and accountability (?agency-oriented? mindset). Excellent technical documentation and communication habits. Technical Expertise Hands-on experience developing and debugging JVM-based or Go applications (We heavily use Kotlin for backend). Experience in microservice-based , event-driven architectures using modern frameworks and messaging systems (Kafka, Pulsar, etc.).
