Job Title: Senior Backend Software Engineer (Cloud‑Native / Distributed Systems)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain large‑scale, cloud‑native software systems. The ideal candidate will work on complex business, scientific, and technical problems, translating system designs into secure, scalable, and high‑performance backend applications deployed on Kubernetes-based platforms.

This role requires strong hands-on development experience, deep understanding of distributed systems, and the ability to collaborate closely with system analysts, architects, and operations teams throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend services using Spring Boot (Java)
• Develop and maintain distributed systems leveraging OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
• Deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes
• Implement secure authentication using OIDC and apply cryptographic best practices
• Analyze system requirements and produce technical designs, flow diagrams, and documentation
• Test, debug, and optimize applications; support system acceptance testing
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and operations teams
• Use GitHub for source control and CI/CD; support observability with OpenTelemetry
• Contribute to infrastructure provisioning using Terraform

Required Skills:

• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud‑native architectures
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, search/data platforms, and secure system design
