As of now Deutsche Börse Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer/ Architect

Your area of work:

As part of Deutsche Börse Group’s expanding technology footprint in Hyderabad, you will take a key role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of the portfolio of Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) applications operated by the DaaS operations unit. You will design robust, scalable, and secure architectures, ensure integration into the enterprise landscape, and support the engineering teams in implementing high quality, cloud native solutions.

In addition, you will contribute hands on to development and operational readiness, ensuring that applications meet the performance, resilience, and compliance requirements of a regulated financial environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Architecture Ownership: Define end-to-end architecture for applications within the team’s responsibility, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with DBG’s enterprise architecture and security frameworks.
• Cloud & Platform Architecture: Design cloud-native architectures (primarily GCP), including infrastructure, networking, security controls, CI/CD, container orchestration, and observability patterns.
• Solution Design & Technical Leadership: Translate business and functional requirements into technical solution designs; guide engineers through implementation, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Technical Governance: Review and validate system designs, architectural decisions, and technical documentation; ensure adherence to standards and regulatory expectations.
• Engineering Contribution: Contribute to prototyping, automation, and components requiring architectural expertise; support development of backend services and integration pipelines.
• Operational Readiness: Ensure solutions are production-ready with proper monitoring, alerting, resilience concepts, and incident-response alignment.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Security Officers, and Engineering teams across locations to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate new technologies, foster architectural best practices, and drive modernization initiatives.

Your profile:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or cloud platform engineering, ideally in a regulated or financial environment.
• Strong architectural expertise in cloud native systems, microservices, event driven and streaming architectures, and distributed systems.
• Hands on experience with GCP, Terraform/Terraform Enterprise, Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
• Proficiency in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), scripting (Python, Bash), and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring/logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, Gray log).
• Good understanding of security architecture, IAM, network design, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
• Service and quality oriented mindset with strong communication skills; fluent in English.
