Manual Tester (Individual Contributor)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester with a strong background in manual testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently and possess a thorough understanding of all sprint ceremonies. Proficiency in using Postman and Jira is essential, while expertise in QTest will be considered an added advantage. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.
• Utilize Postman for API testing and validation of web services.
• Document and track defects using Jira, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Provide detailed reports on testing progress, results, and issues to the project team.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge and experience in Manual Testing.
• Proficient in using Postman for API testing.
• Experience with Jira for defect tracking and project management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing.
