Senior AI/ML Engineer

Job Description

MSBC is looking for a Senior AI Engineer who can design, build, and ship production AI systems across multiple subfields, not just Generative AI. You?ll lead end-to-end solutions spanning Computer Vision, classical ML, unsupervised/self-supervised learning, time-series/forecasting, and NLP/GenAI included, integrating them into robust, scalable applications. You?ll own architecture and delivery, mentor engineers, and choose the right technique for the problem, whether that?s contrastive learning over images, anomaly detection on streams, gradient-boosted models for tabular data, or a transformer for sequence modelling. Key Responsibilities: Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end of web applications using frameworks such as React, FastAPI, Flask, and NodeJS . Design and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces for AI-driven solutions. Build and manage APIs, databases, and server-side logic to support AI models and applications. AI Integration: Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into full-stack applications. Develop efficient and well-documented Python code for AI model implementation. Use libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn for data processing and model development. Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Collaboration & Agile Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, participating in sprints and delivering incremental improvements. Ensure high-quality software development with a focus on clean code, documentation, and best practices. Key Skills & Competencies: Educational Requirements: Bachelor?s, Master?s, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field. AI Engineering & Integration: Design, implement, and ship machine learning systems to production across AI use cases (e.g., Computer Vision, Un/Self-Supervised, Time-Series/Forecasting, GenAI). Translate problem statements into baselines, experiments, and metrics; select appropriate, conventional techniques (not hype-driven) that meet KPIs. Develop well-structured Python code for data processing, training, evaluation, packaging, and serving (batch or real-time). Own model optimization for latency, throughput, and cost (profiling, quantization/distillation where relevant). MLOps & Production Skills: Hands-on with Docker and CI/CD; experience deploying ML to AWS/Azure/GCP . Experience with experiment tracking and model registries; monitoring for drift/performance and online/offline evals. Good software engineering hygiene: testing where it matters, type hints where useful, and maintainable code structure. Kubernetes, streaming (Kafka/Kinesis), or feature stores are nice to have , not mandatory. Data & Systems Awareness: Comfort working with SQL and data processing frameworks; ability to design reliable data pipelines feeding models. Understanding of performance/cost trade-offs; ability to optimize inference and storage footprints. Project Experience: Demonstrable track record of multiple challenging, production AI projects using standard, appropriate techniques (across multiple realms of AI) with clear KPIs/impact. Ready to discuss problem framing, model/feature choices, evaluation design, deployment approach, and post-launch results. Project Experience: Candidates should have worked on at least 5 production-grade AI/ML projects and be ready to discuss these projects during the interview process. Why MSBC Group?
