Senior AI Workflow & Integrations Engineer

About the role

We are building an AI-assisted operations assistant for our marketing agency – a system that chases missing inputs, routes tasks to the right people, manages approvals, and helps account managers stay ahead of deadlines and performance.

As a Senior AI Workflow & Integrations Engineer, you will focus on turning our existing tools (Asana, Slack, performance platforms) into one coherent, automated workflow, and help us gradually evolve this into a standalone product for other agencies.

What you’ll work on

1. Implement new workflows that automatically create and update tasks based on posting dates, content calendars, and recurring client meetings.
2. Build and maintain integrations with Asana and Slack to handle task creation, status updates, notifications, and comment threads.
3. Configure and improve logic for “working backward” from deadlines: who needs to do what, in what order, and how far in advance.
4. Implement business rules for different client types and packages (e.g. which clients need full approvals vs just weekly review, different SLAs, different proofing steps).
5. Build small internal UIs or dashboards that show upcoming work, missing information, late items, and performance summaries.
6. Use AI capabilities to assist with tasks like summarising performance data, drafting simple insights, and suggesting next actions for account managers.

Responsibilities

1. Work with the founder and account managers to understand current workflows and pain points, then translate them into technical changes.
2. Ship small, frequent improvements rather than big, slow releases.
3. Write clean, maintainable code with good documentation for workflows and integrations.
4. Monitor, debug, and improve automation reliability – ensuring the system does not miss critical reminders or tasks.

Requirements

1. 3–6 years of professional software development experience, ideally in backend, full-stack, or automation roles.
2. Hands-on integration experience using REST APIs and webhooks.
3. Strong in at least one backend language and framework, plus willingness to work on front-end and simple dashboards.
4. Experience implementing business workflows, automations, or internal tools in previous roles.
5. Some exposure to AI/LLMs or a strong interest, with the ability to learn quickly and use existing AI tooling effectively.
6. Good communication skills and comfort working in a small, fast-moving team.

Nice to have

1. Prior experience with Asana API, Slack apps/workflows, or similar tools.
2. Experience in marketing tech, CRM, or project management tooling.

Compensation

Indicative range: ₹12Lakh, depending on experience and skill depth, with room to grow as you take on more ownership and product responsibilities
