Role Description The Senior Accountant Executive will manage end-to-end accounting and finance operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and monthly and annual closing activities. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and contributing to internal controls and process improvements. The role includes coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, analyzing financial data to provide insights for management reporting, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities. The Senior Accountant Executive will also mentor junior team members, support client engagements where required, and uphold the firm’s quality and ethical standards in all deliverables.
Qualifications

  • Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger, trial balance, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Proficiency in taxation and compliance, such as corporate tax, GST/VAT, and regulatory filings.
  • Experience with audit support and internal controls, including audit documentation, reconciliations, and process review.
  • Hands-on knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems, with solid MS Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and with clients.
  • Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance), or equivalent experience in senior accounting roles.
  • Prior experience in consulting, professional services, or multi-entity environments is an advantage.
