Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Chennai Chetpet

Work Mode: Work from Office (WFO)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Tally , GST , TDS , Excel , and payments handling . The role requires accuracy, compliance knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain books of accounts using Tally
  • Handle GST compliance including returns, reconciliations, and filings
  • Manage TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Handle vendor and statutory payments (mandatory experience)
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate with auditors and support audits
  • Maintain accurate documentation and financial records
  • Use MS Excel for reporting, reconciliation, and analysis

Required Skills Experience

  • Strong experience in Tally ERP
  • In-depth knowledge of GST and TDS
  • Mandatory experience in handling payments
  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant accounting experience preferred
