Job Description

Currently Hiring: Security Guard in Columbia, SC

Shift: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Facility Type: Professional Office Building

We are looking for you to…

Assist Allegiance management in delegated duties and functions
Follow written/verbal directives
Assist in investigations concerning loss/damage of client property
Follow post orders, Allegiance policy and procedure and other directives
Obtain statements, write reports, interview and observe and document information in a professional manner
Protect people and locations from harassment, physical attack, vandalism and other forms of unauthorized treatment.
Complete and submit incident reports after noteworthy developments as well as record the details of each person who visits the facility.
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times
Ability to walk stairs for security checks during your shift
Ability to direct loiterers away from the property when needed

Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
Physical stamina and dexterity
Knowledge of security operations and procedures
Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and the general public
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
Successful completion of a background and drug screening in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
Pass reference check

Qualifications

You will have:

High School Diploma or Equivalency
Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
Ability to pass a background and drug screening
Ability to work all shifts
Ability to understand, interpret and follow the rules, instructions and lawful orders
Ability to cope with stressful work situations
Physical stamina and dexterity
Knowledge of security operations and procedures
Ability to detect safety hazards within the building and communicate with appropriate staff as well as follow all mandated safety requirements.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to obtain a Guard License
