Role Description The Search Engine Optimization Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The specialist will be responsible for planning and executing SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings for client and internal websites. Day-to-day activities include performing keyword research, conducting technical and content-focused SEO audits, optimizing on-page elements, and managing link-building initiatives. The role involves monitoring performance using web analytics tools, preparing reports, and collaborating with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented. The specialist will stay updated on search engine algorithm changes, industry trends, and emerging tools to continually refine SEO strategies.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Keyword Research to identify opportunities and guide content and marketing strategies.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience in conducting SEO Audits to assess technical health, content quality, and site structure.
  • Candidates should possess capabilities in Link Building to develop high-quality, ethical backlink profiles that support domain authority.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in Web Analytics and related tools to track performance, user behavior, and SEO KPIs.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in On-Page SEO to optimize metadata, headings, content, internal links, and site architecture.
  • Knowledge of major SEO tools (such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms) is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant experience in digital marketing or SEO roles and a degree in marketing, communications, IT, or a related field are advantageous.
