About The Role We?re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SDE III) with strong expertise in Node.js , distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture. You?ll design and build scalable backend services that power mission-critical integrations, leveraging Kafka , Docker , and Kubernetes to ensure reliability, performance, and observability at scale. Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and maintain large-scale backend systems using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript). Design and implement microservices deployed via Docker and orchestrated on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS). Develop asynchronous, event-driven systems using Apache Kafka for data streaming and inter-service communication. Work on scalable APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization across multiple third-party platforms. Mentor engineers, conduct design and code reviews, and establish best practices for maintainable and secure services. Collaborate closely with product, devops, and platform teams to drive technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features. Monitor system health, optimize performance, and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis. Technical Skills Backend: Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Express.js/NestJS. Frontend: React.js, HTML, CSS. Containers & Cloud: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GCP/AWS. Messaging & Data Pipelines: Apache Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ (bonus). Storage: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse (bonus). CI/CD: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or equivalent pipelines. Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry. Version control: Git (GitHub/GitLab). Qualifications 5?8 years of professional experience building backend systems at scale. Deep understanding of system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and distributed systems. Experience building high-availability microservices and deploying on container orchestration platforms. Prior experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence. Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills. Nice to Have Exposure to Temporal.io, gRPC, or Event Sourcing architectures. Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms or integration platforms (iPaaS). Familiarity with ClickHouse or real-time analytics systems. Soft Skills Strong ownership and ability to lead initiatives end-to-end. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
