Job Description

As an SDE-III (Backend), you will be responsible for designing and leading the development of highly scalable backend platforms and distributed systems. You will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product, AI, and Engineering leadership to build robust systems that power Arintra's next generation of products.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop highly scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot.
Lead technical design discussions, drive architectural decisions, and establish engineering best practices across teams.
Build and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and system design discussions while elevating overall engineering quality.
Collaborate with Product, AI, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver complex business-critical initiatives from conception to production.

Requirements

6-10 years of hands-on backend development experience building large-scale production systems.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices Architecture, and RESTful API development.
Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems serving high-volume production workloads.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2 ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3 CloudWatch, VPC, and related cloud-native technologies.
Deep understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design, System Design, and Design Patterns.
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), caching systems (Redis), and messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering direction across teams.

Good To Have

Experience building AI/ML-powered products or data-intensive platforms.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices.
Experience in performance tuning, observability, monitoring, and production incident management.
Prior experience working in high-growth startup environments or scaling products from early-stage to maturity.
