Role: SDE 2 QA (Proficient in both Manual and Automation Testing)

Location: On-site Vijaynagar, Indore (Need someone who can join us immediately, within 2-3 days)

Work Experience: 4+ years in Software Quality Assurance & Testing

Compensation: ₹Upto 5.5 LPA CTC (Depending on skills, experience, current/last salary)

Responsibilities

Process Management

• Define and own the QA process and testing workflow in alignment with the Scrum Master and Product Team.
• Establish and document testing protocols, quality benchmarks, and standardized reporting formats.
• Select, implement, and manage QA tools (manual and automation) tailored to project needs.
• Create and maintain reusable test plans, checklists, and review cycles for every sprint or release.
  
  

Testing Execution

• Execute manual and automated test cases across UI and API layers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT, API, and UI testing to guarantee product stability and usability.
• Strategically balance manual and automated testing for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure all deliverables are thoroughly tested and validated before handover to Product Managers.
  
  

Team Collaboration & Quality Ownership

• Collaborate with the Scrum Master to assign tests, prioritize backlogs, and meet sprint goals.
• Coordinate QA efforts across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and alignment.
• Report test progress, coverage, bugs, and risks to stakeholders with clarity and accountability.
• Take ownership of post-deployment bugs, missed test cases, and QA process gaps, responding immediately to critical issues.
• Partner with Product Managers to review feedback, validate business acceptance, and close testing loops.
  
  

Tool & Environment Management

• Set up and manage QA test environments, test data, staging access, and CI/CD-linked test suites.
• Integrate and manage tools for API testing (e.g., Postman, Swagger), UI automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress), and bug tracking.
• Ensure QA infrastructure aligns with the overall tech stack and sprint workflows.
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identify inefficiencies in QA processes and suggest improvements.
• Maintain documentation of testing best practices and contribute to process audits or retrospectives.
• Stay updated with the latest testing frameworks, tools, and trends; advocate for scalable QA solutions.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 4+ years of experience in manual and automated QA within an agile development environment.
• Advanced proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Expertise in UI testing with frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Proven ability to test RESTful APIs, web platforms, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong skills in writing clear, reproducible bug reports and detailed test cases.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with developers, product managers, and designers.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free releases.
• Self-starter attitude with strong ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Proven leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams and championing task completion.
• Robust analytical skills for evaluating processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Skilled communicator with excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and
• interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in various testing types, including Black Box, UI, Integration, Regression, Backend, System, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain quality standards, tools, and testing methodologies.
• Experience managing and tracking test activities across all stages—from functional testing to full end-to-end system validation.
• Strong product knowledge to assess risks, analyze impacts, and advise on testing approaches for both new and existing products.
• Experience in evaluating, analyzing, and reporting quality metrics for strategic projects.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
