You?ll work closely with product managers, UI designers, and engineering peers to develop performant, reliable applications that drive critical workflows and decisions for our customers. While you?ll collaborate across the full stack, this role has a strong focus on backend engineering, APIs, databases, and infrastructure, with the ability to contribute to frontend development as needed. What You?ll Do Lead the design and impact analysis for backend-heavy product roadmap features. Develop and unit test APIs and services in Python (FastAPI, Django Rest Framework, etc.). Optimize database schemas and queries for high performance and scalability. Conduct code reviews with a focus on backend robustness and system design. Perform performance profiling of APIs, queries, and services. Collaborate with frontend engineers and designers to deliver complete end-to-end features. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and QA processes. Who You Are Strong experience designing and maintaining enterprise web applications and APIs in Python. Expertise with backend technologies, including: Python frameworks: Django Rest Framework, FastAPI, or similar Relational databases: MySQL (query optimization, profiling) Messaging systems: Kafka ORM libraries Solid frontend development experience with: TypeScript / JavaScript React, React-query Storybook, Tailwind CSS, SASS Jest, React Testing Library Nice-to-have: Next.js, MongoDB Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform DevSecOps practices: CI/CD, TDD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Proven ability to architect backend systems for reliability, performance, and maintainability. Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and with non-technical stakeholders. Eagerness to work in cross-functional teams and own features end-to-end.
