Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scrub Nurse/OT Nurse role based at Sahayog Hospital in Gurugram. The role involves assisting surgeons during operative procedures, preparing and maintaining a sterile field, and ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning correctly. The nurse will be responsible for pre-operative preparation of patients, intra-operative support including instrument handling and counts, and post-operative transfer and documentation. Daily tasks include coordinating with the surgical team, adhering to infection control protocols, monitoring patient safety, and supporting efficient operating room workflow. The role also requires accurate record-keeping, participation in quality improvement activities, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in Nursing and Medicine.
- Demonstrated skills in Surgery and Operating Room procedures, including sterile techniques and surgical assistance.
- Experience or exposure to Orthopedic Surgery, with the ability to support specialized operative procedures.
- Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., GNM, B.Sc. Nursing) with valid registration from the Haryana nursing council.
- Previous operating theater or perioperative nursing experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of infection control, patient safety, and surgical instrument handling and care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain attention to detail, and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as required by OT schedules and hospital operations.
