Scientific Software Developer

Experience: 2 years

Qualification: BTech / MTech in CS/ECE

Work Mode: In-office (no remote)

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

CTC: 7-10 LPA

About the Role

Build the algorithmic core of our Raman spectrometers from bench-top high-resolution systems to portable and handheld devices. You'll implement signal processing and analysis algorithms as production code that runs on real hardware.

What You'll Do

·     Implement signal processing and analysis algorithms for Raman spectra — baseline correction, denoising, smoothing, peak detection and fitting, wavelength/intensity calibration, classification, quantification.

·     Write C++ for performance-critical paths and Python for prototyping, tooling, and offline analysis.

·     Convert algorithms from references and pseudocode into clean, validated, working code.

·     Optimize for handheld constraints (memory, compute, power) versus bench-top performance targets for Raman Imaging.

·     Validate algorithms against real instrument data alongside the hardware and applications teams.

·     Contribute to the instrument-side application (currently .NET) — framework can be picked up on the job.

·     Write testable, well-documented code with attention to numerical stability and edge cases.

Must Have

·     BTech / MTech in CS/ECE.

·     2 years of hands-on development with a strong implementation track record.

·     Strong C++ and Python, data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis.

·     Strong math foundation: linear algebra (matrix operations, decompositions, eigen problems, least squares) and basic multivariate analysis.

·     Comfortable turning equations and pseudocode into production code.

·     Good debugging instincts; validates results against data, not just compiler output.

Nice to Have

·     Exposure to spectroscopy, optics, or analytical chemistry.

·     NumPy / SciPy / Eigen / OpenCV.

·     Any .NET / C# background.

·     Embedded or resource-constrained development experience.

·     Git, unit testing, code review discipline.

Why Join Us — Learning and Growth

·     Your code runs inside instruments deployed across premier institutes and organisations such as IIT, NIT, ISRO, and CSIR labs, with real-world applications spanning pharma, gemology, defence and forensics, materials, and field analytics.

  • ·     Clear growth path: deepen into algorithms, move into scientific instrument software architecture, specialize in chemometrics / ML for spectroscopy.
