Experience 9?12 years total experience (At least 3?5 years of hands-on experience in SAP PaPM) Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) consultant to design, implement, and optimize financial modeling and performance management solutions. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to translate financial, cost, and operational models into efficient SAP PaPM applications. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PaPM models for profitability, cost allocation, and performance simulations. Collaborate with Finance, Controlling (CO), and Business Planning teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional PaPM models. Develop and optimize PaPM functions, such as allocation rules, modelling objects, calculations, and simulations. Integrate PaPM with SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Define and implement data models and interfaces for data extraction and loading (from HANA views, BW InfoProviders, or external systems). Support performance tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user training. Work with developers and data teams for custom logic, ABAP/HANA SQL scripting, and performance optimization. Document functional/technical specifications and provide post-implementation support. Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and stakeholder communication. Required Skills & Experience: Functional Expertise: Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP PaPM project experience (implementation). Strong understanding of Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), and Management Accounting principles. Experience in financial modelling, performance management, and cost allocation logic. Exposure to what-if simulations, predictive costing, and driver-based modelling. Experience in Profitability Modelling for Banking, Insurance, or Manufacturing domains. Technical Skills: Solid hands-on experience in SAP HANA (calculation views, SQL scripting). Knowledge of PaPM modeling objects: Functions, Environments, Data Model, Process Templates, and Process Execution. Experience in integrating PaPM with S/4HANA Finance, BW/4HANA, and SAC. Familiarity with PaPM Cloud (PaPM Cloud Edition) is an added advantage. Understanding of BTP (Business Technology Platform) and data connectivity tools. General Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. Experience in Agile or Waterfall project delivery methodologies. Education & Certifications: Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field. SAP-certified in PaPM or S/4HANA Finance preferred. Nice-to-Have: Exposure to SAP SAC (Analytics Cloud) for reporting & dashboards. Basic understanding of Machine Learning integration with PaPM (using Python/R in HANA).
