SAP BTP Consultant - Business Technology Platform

Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for an SAP BTP Developer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications and extensions on the SAP Business Technology Platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), SAP UI5/Fiori, SAP Integration Suite, and modern cloud development practices. Key Responsibilities Application Development : Develop cloud-native applications using SAP BTP services such as CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP Build Apps, and SAP HANA Cloud. Build and maintain extensions for SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and other SAP solutions. Implement business logic using Node.js, Java, or ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP). Integration Develop and deploy interfaces via SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, and Event Mesh. Work with REST/OData services, SOAP, IDocs, RFCs, and event-driven integrations. Data & Database Model and manage data in SAP HANA Cloud, HDI containers, and CDS views. Optimize data access and performance for cloud workloads. Security & Operations Configure role collections, authentication, and authorization via SAP BTP Cockpit. Implement CI/CD pipelines for deployment on Cloud Foundry or Kyma. Monitor and troubleshoot applications using SAP BTP tools and logs. Collaboration Partner with functional consultants and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions. Document technical designs, standards, and procedures. Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives). Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in SAP development (BTP, SAP UI5, ABAP, or integrations). Hands-on experience with one or more SAP BTP environments : Cloud Foundry Kyma/Kubernetes ABAP Environment Experience with CAP (Node.js or Java) or RAP (ABAP Cloud). Strong knowledge of OData services, SAP Fiori/UI5, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management). Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud-native development. Preferred (Nice To Have) SAP certifications (e.g., BTP Developer Associate, CPI, Fiori). Knowledge of SAP Build (Apps, Process Automation, Work Zone). Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, event-driven architecture. Understanding of AI/ML capabilities within SAP BTP (e.g., Joule, AI Core, AI Launchpad). Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Proactive and willing to learn new SAP cloud technologies. (ref:hirist.tech)
