Job Title: Sales Engineer(Field)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technical sales, pre-sales consultation, account management, and business development. The candidate should be ready to join within 30 days.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Consultation (Pre-Sales)
Conduct in-depth analysis of customer applications to understand their specific needs.
Recommend suitable hand tools and tool storage solutions from the product portfolio.
Plan, prepare, and deliver technical product demonstrations and presentations.
Collaborate with Product Development and Engineering teams for customization.
Prepare accurate and compelling sales proposals and quotes.
Account Management & Business Development
Identify and prospect for new business opportunities within assigned territory.
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams.
Meet and exceed assigned sales and profitability targets.
Provide technical sales support and training to distributor sales forces.
Market & Product Expertise
Stay abreast of industry trends and customer tooling requirements.
Collect and relay market feedback to Product Management and R&D teams.
Provide training to the internal sales team and partners.
Post-Sales & Service
Act as a technical escalation point for post-sale issues.
Assist the service team with troubleshooting and warranty claims.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of experience in technical sales or a sales engineering role.
In-depth knowledge of hand tools and experience in related industries.
Strong understanding of tool materials, heat treatment, and industry standards.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technical B2B environment.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)
Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Six Sigma, specific tooling applications).
Experience with a major hand tool or power tool brand.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
