Job Description

You'll own the sales of our flagship skid products — Odorisation Skids, Metering Skids, and DRS Skids — targeting PSUs and large industrial buyers. Think GAIL, IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, IGL, MGL, and their extended ecosystem.

You'll navigate tenders, build compelling proposals, meet customers, hunt for new opportunities, and maintain a pipeline that you're genuinely proud of. You're the face of GEMSL in the field — technically credible, commercially sharp, and professionally impressive.

This role has teeth. You'll have a real target, a real product with real pedigree, and a real team behind you.

Key Responsibilities

Hunt & Build Pipeline

▸ Generate leads via direct visits, tender portals (GeM, CPPP), LinkedIn, and industry networks.

▸ Identify and qualify new opportunities across PSUs and private sector industrial clients.

▸ Maintain a robust, data-driven sales pipeline in CRM — from first contact to order closure.

▸ Nurture existing client relationships while consistently adding new accounts.

Win Tenders & Proposals

▸ Monitor tender portals, analyse RFQs, and prepare technically sound, commercially competitive bids.

▸ Lead the full proposal process — datasheets, deviation statements, techno-commercial write-ups — coordinating with Engineering and Production for inputs.

▸ Read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs to ensure bids align with client specs and applicable standards (PNGRB, OISD, BIS).

▸ Own submission timelines and ensure every bid goes out complete, compliant, and on time.

Own Customer Relationships

▸ Conduct regular client visits and meetings — bring insights back, take solutions forward.

▸ Be the primary technical interface during pre-order discussions, presentations, and negotiations.

▸ Proactively resolve concerns and keep customers confident in GEMSL's delivery.

Stay Sharp on the Market

▸ Track competitor activity, map the territory, and identify gaps GEMSL can fill.

▸ Feed actionable market intelligence to the Sales Head for pricing and strategy decisions.

▸ Represent GEMSL at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.

Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
