Role Overview We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Kong GTM team . You will be the frontline ambassador of Zelarsoft?s Kong practice ? identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospects across industries to fuel our enterprise sales pipeline. This is a fast-paced, target-driven role ideal for candidates who are tech-savvy, ambitious, and excited to build careers in SaaS and API infrastructure sales . About Zelarsoft Zelarsoft is a Cloud-native and AI-driven consulting company, helping enterprises accelerate digital transformation through modern DevOps, API Management, and AI automation solutions. We are one of the few firms in India specializing in Kong API Gateway (Konnect SaaS, Hybrid, Enterprise) implementations, providing strategy, architecture, and managed services to global clients. Our team works closely with Kong Inc. , Google Cloud, and Azure to deliver cutting-edge API and AI solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify and qualify potential customers for Kong API Gateway and related consulting services (Konnect SaaS, Hybrid, OIDC, Service Mesh, etc.). Use CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) to maintain accurate records of outreach and lead status. Research organizations, map decision-makers (CIO, CTO, API Architects, DevOps Heads), and identify buying triggers. Outbound & Inbound Engagement Execute targeted email, LinkedIn, and cold-call campaigns to build awareness and generate pipeline opportunities. Respond to inbound inquiries from marketing campaigns and route qualified leads to Account Executives. Schedule discovery calls and product demos between prospects and solution consultants. Sales Enablement Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to develop value propositions and pitch decks for different verticals (BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, etc.). Maintain deep understanding of Kong?s product suite , including API Gateway, Konnect Cloud, Ingress Controller, Mesh, and Dev Portal. Stay updated with competitor offerings (Apigee, Mulesoft, NGINX, Tyk, AWS Gateway) and market trends. Reporting & Metrics Achieve weekly/monthly KPIs on lead generation, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution. Report campaign results and conversion rates to management, with insights for GTM optimization. Requirements Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent. MBA preferred. Experience: 1?3 years in SaaS, Cloud, API Management, or DevOps technology sales (fresh graduates with tech aptitude also considered). ? Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills (English required). Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive). Understanding of Cloud/DevOps ecosystem: APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and API Gateways. High energy, curiosity, and persistence in pipeline development. Ability to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Kong Gateway, API lifecycle, or Developer Platform sales . Certification or knowledge of AWS / GCP / Azure fundamentals . Prior SDR/BDR experience in SaaS or IT Consulting. Ability to work cross-functionally with Solution Architects and Delivery teams.
