Overview:

The Sales Development Manager role focuses on building and driving VDart’s offshore outbound sales function from India to support US market growth. The position combines hands-on prospecting, client acquisition, pipeline management, and team leadership.


Location: Trichy (Onsite)

Position: Full-time employee

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Function Building

  • Build and lead VDart’s offshore sales development function in India.
  • Create a structured outbound sales process for prospecting, lead qualification, follow-up, and appointment setting.
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity plans aligned with US business development goals.
  • Manage, mentor, and eventually grow a team of SDRs, lead generation executives, and inside sales professionals.
  • Set performance expectations, track productivity, and drive accountability across the offshore sales team.
  • Work closely with US leadership to align outreach strategy, target accounts, messaging, and campaign priorities.


US Market Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with US-based companies.
  • Research target accounts, industries, decision-makers, and buying committees.
  • Conduct outbound outreach through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other sales engagement channels.
  • Engage senior decision-makers, including business owners, HR leaders, operations leaders, marketing leaders, technology leaders, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their business needs, pain points, budgets, timelines, and decision-making processes.
  • Schedule qualified discovery calls, product demonstrations, and sales meetings for VDart’s leadership and sales teams.


Pipeline Generation & CRM Management

  • Build and maintain qualified prospect databases using sales intelligence platforms and research tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, outreach activity, lead status, and pipeline movement within CRM systems.
  • Track key sales development metrics, including calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, conversations, qualified leads, meetings booked, show rates, and opportunity conversion.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, performance reports, and market feedback to leadership.
  • Continuously improve outreach messaging, follow-up sequences, call scripts, and objection-handling approaches.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, delivery, operations, and leadership to ensure a strong handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Provide market feedback to help refine positioning, sales collateral, campaign messaging, and solution-specific outreach.
  • Support go-to-market efforts for Background Verification, Augmented Reality, Digital Marketing, and other business offerings.
  • Help ensure that offshore sales efforts are aligned with VDart’s broader growth strategy in the US market.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Inside Sales, Lead Generation, or Outbound B2B Sales.
  • Prior experience supporting US-based clients, US sales campaigns, or international business development efforts.
  • Proven track record in cold calling, outbound prospecting, appointment setting, and lead qualification.
  • Experience leading or mentoring sales development representatives, inside sales teams, or lead generation teams.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, prospect research, account targeting, and decision-maker engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently engage with senior-level stakeholders in the US market.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, follow-up, and CRM management skills.
  • Comfortable working in US business hours from India.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced growth environment.
