Safety Manager

SAFETY MANAGER – GOZAL INC (HOOVEN, OH)

GOZAL INC is hiring a Safety Manager to oversee compliance and improve safety performance across our fleet of 60+ trucks and 150+ dry van trailers. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership, enforce standards, and keep our operation running safely and efficiently.

Location: HOOVEN, OH

Schedule: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Oversee driver safety, compliance, and DOT regulations
• Handle driver incidents, violations, and corrective actions
• Review dashcam footage (Samsara) and coach drivers on safety performance
• Manage driver onboarding from a safety standpoint (road test, policies, compliance)
• Maintain driver qualification files and ensure FMCSA compliance
• Conduct safety meetings and ongoing driver training
• Track safety metrics and implement improvements

Requirements:

• Experience in trucking safety or fleet compliance
• Strong understanding of FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Experience with ELD systems and log auditing
• Ability to enforce policies and communicate clearly with drivers
• Organized and detail-oriented

Preferred:

• Experience with Samsara or similar dashcam systems
• CDL (not required)
• Experience with fleet/dispatch systems (Alvys is a plus)

Pay:

• $60,000 – $70,000/year (based on experience)
