Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems (SMS) in compliance with DGCA and ICAO standards.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are effectively implemented.
• Oversee and conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and internal standards.
• Design and execute emergency preparedness plans, including drills and simulations, to ensure readiness for potential crises.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to enhance awareness and competency among staff and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment with safety protocols and standards.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in aviation safety regulations and best practices, ensuring their integration into operational processes.
• Support the VP in strategic safety initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety culture within the organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Certification in Aviation Safety Management or equivalent credentials.
• 12-15 years of experience in aviation safety, with a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and incident investigation.
• Proven track record of managing safety programs in alignment with DGCA/ICAO regulations.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications or postgraduate qualifications in safety or risk management are preferred.
