Robotics?Mechanical Engineer Intern ?to support the design, analysis, and manufacturing of robotic systems.?This role involves end-to-end involvement from CAD design to prototype testing, providing hands-on exposure to?real robotic?systems. The?ideal candidate is passionate about mechanical design,?possesses?strong design?acumen with the ability to assess manufacturing feasibility, has hands-on project experience, and can start?immediately.?? ?Key Responsibilities? Create detailed CAD models for robotic components using software like SolidWorks or Fusion 360.? Perform finite element analysis (FEA) of robotic systems to?optimize?structural integrity and performance.? Generate technical drawings and specifications to support manufacturing processes such as 3D?printing,?CNC machining.? Apply basic GD&T principles to ensure?accurate?fit, alignment, and functional tolerances across assemblies.? Work with fabrication and assembly teams to translate designs into manufacturable components with minimal rework.? Assist?in the integration of mechanical components with electrical and software systems for complete robot functionality.? Troubleshoot mechanical issues in robotic systems during assembly and testing phases.? Document design processes, FEA results, simulation outcomes, and test data for project records.? Technical Skills? Proficiency?in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).? Experience?with manufacturing processes (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining)?and understanding tolerance for?different materials?is a plus.? Experience with CAD analysis tools, including FEA and simulation software.? Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawing standards is a plus? Strong problem-solving skills and passion for robotics?innovation. ? Effective communication and teamwork abilities.? Eligibility? Currently?pursuing or recently?completed?a?Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.? Prior?hands-on experience in robotics design through projects, competitions, or internships is preferred.?
